Bird I work with, her partner works for Sky. They were given a Glass TV to play with for a couple of months, and can only echo what others have said when mentioning that it's absolute dogshit. Constant drop-outs and shit picture quality. Also if your broadband goes down - no Sky. Best avoided, in my humble.

My mate is obsessed with TV tech and says that Sky Glass isnt that great. Best to get a decent TV and stick with SkY Q for a couple of years until the bugs are ironed out.

Can’t you just rent an overpriced TV from bright house?

If it's only being hyped by the ones selling it, well...
Anyway, they've just announced that the Sky Stream puck will be available as a standalone device soon. This negates any possible reason to want to pay for an overpriced mediocre telly as you can stream their channels this way instead.

Probably only worth it if you can't have/don't want a satellite dish on your property.

Not got it and wouldn't consider it because they want a monthly subscription for it
